LYRICS

ETERNAL VOID

Could have turned right but I turned left Could have chose the way that’s best Could have gone high, but I chose low
Now I see the fires down below

Never needed anyone, or so it seemed                                                Preacher or president, true blue or fiend
Make my own way, my mantra goes
No heaven above, or hell below
Lived life in decadence, served every whim
Remorse for roads I chose, as my eyes grow dim

Stand at the chasm, the great divide                                              Searching for answers, wish I had tried
To find some purpose, some kind of goal
Prepare for this day and heal my soul
Pure dissipation I employed
Lifetime of darkness, eternal void

AKELDAMA

Numbered with the chosen, honored above all                                                             Counsel of the righteous, just before his fall
His mouth spoke all the right things, his heart was full of greed
In secret he would pilfer cash that was for people's needs

He purchased land with cash he stole                                                                                  And thought he'd found his pot of gold
He slipped and fell on stone and mud
The locals called it "Field Of Blood"

What's the moral of this tale? Granted heaven, he chose hell                                                Given the best thing in life, choosing lies, deceit, and strife
I'll use the tools granted me, use them well and I might see
Blessing come in like a flood rather than a field of blood

WAR ROOM

So many voices-they scream and they shout
But, they don't know what they're talking about
There is ground zero, the place at the start
They never knew or forgot that part
Life has a template, we're from a mold
Beginning and end like we were told
What happens next not a matter of fate
Commander is here to navigate

Mindless and pointless, men carry on
Wasting their lives til life is gone

I'm in a war room, maps up on the wall
Operation General, will make the final call
I'm in a war room, strategic maneuvers
Life events are planned out, they don't just occur

Carpe diem, take the hill, battle call
Plans of under generals never stall
Advance set from dawn of time- all systems go
No need to contemplate, I can know
Life has a template, we're from a mold
Beginning and end like we were told
What happens next not a matter of fate
Commander is here to navigate

VOICES FROM BEYOND

I can hear them calling
I can hear them calling
Voices from beyond

Voices from great distances, whisper on the wind
Call to me, seek me out, voices of a friend
In the whirlwind, in the fire, hear them call my name
Guide my feet to higher ground away from storm and flame

Speak of grandeur, speak of pain, tell of ancient woes
Speak of glory and disdain, tell of future foes
Telling of a way unseen, hidden from the eye
Anyone can find this way, I have but to try

Prophets Of War

Plans made far in advance while peace rules on the earth
Strategies to kill and conqueror, cause a world rebirth
These men hold the destiny of millions in their hands
And say acceptable casualties are part of their plan

Democracy will rule each country, locals have no say
Populations must be free to go about their day
Bomb their cities, strafe their towns, all that's left is rubble
Destroy their homes and businesses, leave nothing but trouble

Men of mettle, wings and medals control land and sea
Charts and maps of global scale, they say what will be
Prophets of war and so much more foretell the coming doom
Decide the fate of nations and peoples all in the war room

RENAISSANCE

Going down a well worn road many have gone before me
I see the path they took to sorrow, pain, and misery
Pause and listen, stop and think does this road find meaning
Passing signs along the way, or am I only dreaming

Renaissance, return from the dead
Renaissance, re-birth inside my head
Renaissance, born in liberty
Renaissance, like a child in purity

I looked to man, I looked to church and found emptiness
Despair and mental suicide, no cure for my distress
I remembered from my youth stories someone read
Hope and purpose, peace and Truth, I'll embrace instead
