It takes a special kind of drummer to play doom. A drummer who loves and enjoys slow, plodding rhythms and crushing power chords, and who isn't in a hurry to end the song at the three minute, twenty three second mark that hit radio requests.

Percussion provided by world renown drummers Bodo Schopf, Michele Sanna, and J.C. Samora.

Some even told me who their favorite drummers and bands were, and it matched my favorites. I told one of them "the song I sent you needs drums that sound like a blend of Leonard Haze (Y&T), Robert Sweet (Stryper), and Bill Ward (Black Sabbath)." His understanding was so spot on that I got drum tracks from him comprising the essence of those three monster drummers.

J.C. Samora, a force to be reckoned with. It is so great there are sites like Soundbetter where I found this ultra talented drummer. Michele Sanna came to my knowledge because Frontiers Italy recommended him long ago. His contributions to Jorn and Sunstorm cannot be overlooked, but it is his drumming on my music that knocked me off my feet. What a powerhouse, and a genuinely nice man. Bodo Schoff-what can one say? Bodo is a international treasure. Eloy? Sweet? MSG? Where does one even start to plumb the depths of this man's contribution to worldwide music. And to think he made time to drum for me. I am humbled...
